Hello Everyone
Just a reminder that tomorrow there won't be any school for the students. That day is scheduled for parent teacher conference, unless you are Mrs. Bloomquist. I will be flying to Chicago to see my daughter, Johanna, for the first time since she began college at the beginning of September!
Conferences
I have sent out a couple of emails with the link below. This link will take you to my Sign Up Genius page and allow you to schedule the first quarter conference.

I also encourage parents to bring their child to our conference. I feel it helps to the child to understand what we are talking about and to take more ownership in their education.
Homework
Now that the switch for math and literacy has been completed, I wanted to just clarify what the student's nightly homework expectations are. For literacy students are expected to read in their Just Right Reading Range for at least 30 minutes, 5 nights a week. To clarify the RazKids: Students should be reading the words NOT listening to the words being read to them.
For math the students are expected to complete 30 minutes of DreamBox. They might receive 'paper' homework from their teacher depending upon their teacher. Please contact them directly with any questions.
Character Parade Next Friday!
Stay tuned for more information!
